W+CO designed fit-out renovations and a new entry addition to create new corporate offices for Northwestern Human Services in Lafayette Hill, PA. NHS provides education and human services for people with behavioral health issues, Autism, and intellectual and development disabilities. Working from the interior shell of a 12,000-square-foot building, sleek, new spaces were created for offices, reception area, large and small conference rooms, an executive suite, corridors, and waiting and consultation rooms. The interior aesthetic is open, sleek and sophisticated, with blond wood millwork, marble floors, floating ceiling panels, contemporary lighting fixtures, and state-of-the-art audio-visual technology. A new grand staircase was created to usher staff and visitors from the entry to the second floor. In the largest conference room, overhead lighting fixtures retract up into the ceiling when the projection technology is in use. The entry addition provides more dynamic and efficient access from the parking lot into the building, while also bringing light farther into the interior through new large windows.
